People and Place - Exercise: A public space

The brief:

For the final exercise transfer your attention from an organised occasion to a semi-organised public space.  For example a public park or beach.  Try to capture the sense of varied use - how people make their own personal or small group activities with the same general area.

I used the same Polo match event to capture these photos, because when the Polo had finished, people were picnicking and making their own entertainment.  Therefore, I was happy in the situation of taking photos of people.

 

I watched this guy for ages just loitering by the Candy floss stand – so I decided to take this photo, he wasn’t buying anything just chatting and watching all that was going on around him

 

 

This group was taken before the Polo started, they appeared to the waiting for more friends before setting up their picnic area, excited and chatty
